Biography (required for all faculty)
Eric Yixin Yang, Ph.D., is a Doctor of Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry from Southern Illinois University. He is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research and serves as a board member for the Zhejiang Province Bioinformatics Society. Previously, he held positions as a full professor in the Department of Biology at Emporia State University in Kansas, where he also served as the Graduate Program Coordinator. Additionally, he served as the Acting Dean of the Graduate College and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kean University in the United States. Currently, Dr. Yang holds the position of Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Wenzhou-Kean University, where he brings with him a wealth of management and research experience. He has a strong track record of academic achievement, with 29 scholarly articles published in prestigious international journals on topics related to cancer and medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Yang has received research funding from various institutions, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the International Research Center for Bioinformatics at the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Key Laboratory of Applied Biomedical and Biopharmaceutical Informatics in Wenzhou. He serves as the principal investigator for these organizations, leading significant research projects in the field of bioinformatics.

cocktail therapy combining heat shock protein inhibitors and autophagy inhibitors against melanoma; roles of antioxidants in melanoma growth and invasiveness and drug resistance to chemotherapy; the roles of microRNAs in human malignant melanoma and microRNA-based therapeutics against melanoma; the pharmacological effects of phytochemicals on human malignant melanoma; the differential response of P53 network at different oncogenic mutation context; utilization of CRISPR-dCas9 system to regulate miRNA expressions.
