Program Overview
The M.S. in Environmental Management at Wenzhou-Kean University addresses real-world needs in environmental governance and sustainable development. It aims to prepare practice-oriented professionals with a strong foundation in environmental science, management and decision-making skills, and an international perspective. Integrating environmental science, management, and public policy, the program focuses on environmental assessment, environmental governance, project management, and sustainable development. Students learn to understand the interrelationships between environmental issues and socioeconomic development and to translate scientific knowledge into practical environmental management solutions. Through structured coursework, case discussions, and practical training, students develop the ability to use data and scientific evidence to analyze environmental issues, evaluate management options, balance stakeholder needs, and implement projects. Drawing on Wenzhou-Kean University's Sino-American educational model and English-medium learning environment, the program provides a foundation for careers in environmental consulting, corporate sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management, public-sector environmental management, and ecological conservation.
