Bioinformatics International Science and Technology Cooperation Center
The Bioinformatics International Science and Technology Cooperation Center has been recognized as the "2020 Provincial International Science and Technology Cooperation Center" by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Led by Dr. Eric Yang (杨毅欣), Vice President of Academic Affairs at Wenzhou Kean University and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at Kean University, USA, this center stands at the forefront of international scientific collaboration. The center is dedicated to cutting-edge research, including the discovery of novel treatment strategies for cancer therapy, the exploration of new signaling molecules and mechanisms for crop improvement, and antibody engineering, among other areas. It boasts a team of highly qualified researchers and experts specializing in microbiology, molecular biology, and computer science.
The center has achieved remarkable outcomes, securing funding for four national natural science projects, provincial research projects, and municipal science and technology projects, amassing over 4 million RMB in research funding. Additionally, the team has published more than 70 high-quality research papers in prestigious international journals such as Nature and Genome Research. Through collaborations with renowned institutions and universities both nationally and internationally, the center actively engages in academic exchanges and research projects, continuously expanding its reach and impact. Partnerships with institutions such as the University of Oxford (UK), Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), University of Perugia (Italy), University of Malaya (Malaysia), Keen University (USA), and Chiang Mai University (Thailand) exemplify the center's unwavering commitment to global scientific cooperation.
