BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Muhammad Khalid is a Lecturer in the Department of Biology at Wenzhou-Kean University. He earned his Ph.D. in plant sciences from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution, during which he collaborated internationally with the University of Helsinki and Kansas State University on Academy of Finland-funded research. He joined Wenzhou-Kean University in February 2023. Dr. Khalid has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology and serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.

RESEARCH INTEREST

Dr. Khalid's research focuses on urban ecology, plant-microbe interactions, soil health, and biofertilizers, with particular interest in how beneficial soil microbiomes can be harnessed to improve plant stress tolerance and remediate contaminated soils.
