ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Before joining Wenzhou-Kean University, Dr. Chebotaeva served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of South Carolina and as a Dornsife Teaching Fellow in Mathematics at the University of Southern California. She has taught a broad range of undergraduate mathematics courses, from college algebra and precalculus to calculus, mathematical modeling, and linear algebra.
BIOGRAPHY
Victoria Chebotaeva is a Lecturer in Mathematics at Wenzhou-Kean University. She received her Specialist Degree (B.S. + M.S.) in Mathematics from Moscow State University in 2018 and her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina in 2024.
Dr. Chebotaeva's academic work lies at the intersection of applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, and epidemiology. Her research explores mathematical models of infectious diseases, with particular interest in SEIR models, spatial dynamics, cross-diffusion, and the use of mathematical and computational methods to better understand the spread of epidemics.
Teaching has been an important part of Dr. Chebotaeva's academic career. Before joining Wenzhou-Kean University, she served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of South Carolina and as a Dornsife Teaching Fellow in Mathematics at the University of Southern California.
