Biography

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU). Before joining WKU, he was a Research Professor at Korea University. His research is focused on improving energy efficiency in membrane-based water treatment and desalination processes. He has published numerous papers in top-tier SCIE journals in environmental and chemical engineering and has authored one book and one book chapter on membrane processes. Also, he has patented innovative environmental processes, resulting in 16 applied patents and 10 granted patents. Due to his active research, he has received 11 awards. He has served as the Special Issue Editor of the esteemed journal Desalination (IF: 9.9) and is a committee member of the International Desalination Association Young Leaders Program.
